Aku takut

Arrggghhh!

Kenapa harus ada perbedaan sih??

ngayal di malam hari

Ini jam 12 malam, aku lagi ngerjain tugas essay American literature, dan disaat I don’t know what to do next at all alias kentekkan ide babar blas tiba2 aku ingat kamu,
Ahh, you may say that I’m a dreamer, but remember, I’m not the only one (kebetulan lagu Imagine by The Beatles keputer di playlist acak ku, tulis sisan wae lirik e, hahahahhah).
selamat tidur!!
(tugasku malah lali ra tak garap, aku keturon (- . -) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

"Every day, before I sleep, i think of you. by doing that, I wish you'll come to my dream. Because that's the only moment I have my bravery to say I LOVE YOU. "

jangan sakit lagi

Kemarin aku ngerasa gak enak badan banget, perut berkunang2, kepala mual, mataku lemes dan badanku pusing bgt, - -a (harap maklum, efek gak enak badan). Gak tau kenapa tiba2 badanku jadi gak enak, setelah tak pikir2, apa aku merasa gak enak badan gara2 “dia” juga lg gak enak badan jg ya? (“dia” yang aku suka, tapi mungkin dia gak tau). Yah, kemarin katanya dia lagi hari pertama kedatangan tamu bulanan. Wajahnya pucat bgt, badannya lemes, dia ngeluh perutnya sakit. Aduh.. ngeliat dia aja kayaknya emang sakit bgt deh (untung aku cowok, ^^b). tapi demi ngelihat dia sakit gitu rasanya sedih bgt, pengen bantuin ngeringanin sakitnya tapi gak tau kudu gimana.

malah Cuma muter2 gak karuan ngabisin waktu, tenaga n listrik.
Kadang2 malah jadi pusing n pengen muntah.
Bahkan cheat pun gak berarti apa-apa.
even itu cuma sebuah game.
Ini bukan masalah putus asa atau menyerah,
Aku Cuma berpikir
“kenapa melakukan sesuatu yang membuang waktu kita? Padahal masih banyak diluar sana hal yang lebih menarik menunggu kita”
#MoveOnYuk… hihihihihi

"Bhineka Tunggal Ika"

Indonesia is known as a multicultural country which consists of hundreds ethnic group. Indonesia also admits six legitimate religions which are Islam, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, Buddha, and Konghuchu. To unite all cultures, religions and ethnic groups in Indonesia, we have a symbol of the country which is called “Garuda Pancasila” with its slogan “Bhineka Tunggal Ika”. “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” means Unity in Diversity. In my opinion, the practice of religious freedom in Indonesia hasn’t work well yet. Most of Indonesian people are still unaware of “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” slogan. There are a lot of religious conflicts that happened in Indonesia because they don’t respect each other and they think that their religion is the best. It would worsen the unity of Indonesian people, because Indonesia is multireligion country, they have to respect other religions. I think the responsibility to practice religious freedom in Indonesia depends on every individual. Every person has to respect each other to create a society that respects religious freedom. Every person has to understand the importance of Pancasila. It is a must to engraft it deep in our heart that although we are different, we have to be united. We are great because we are united.

Globalization and English in Indonesia

Nowadays, we are entering the era of Globalization. In this globalization era, English is now very important in every aspect of live. That also happens in Indonesia, as globalization now developed recently, people need English as their global communication and help them in technology. Ayo Bamgbose (2001) said that the main importance of global Englishes is to achieve the viable international communication.  According to that fact, government tried to follow this trend by making a policy that open up International-Standard School (Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional) to produce graduates that can compete in the global field.
This policy has been being a realization in Indonesia although this concept is still experimentation. International-Standard School (Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional) is not yet applied to all school in Indonesia because there are a lot of challenges to make this concept works well. The first challenge is that the students are not ready yet to get involved in this program. Then, it will cost so much for the parents because it needs to hire more teachers. And the main challenge is the teacher itself, it needs teachers that are qualified to teach, and there are not many teachers who qualified in Indonesia. Beside the challenges, International-Standard School (Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional) is also give many advantages. The graduates of it can compete in international field because they have prepared for it. it will also affects to our country, with the graduates that is globally occupied in international field, it will makes Indonesia viewed as a developed country. With It, it’s also proved that global englishes work well.
To bring it into reality it needs teachers that are qualified to teach in International-Standard School (Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional). Since it is International-Standard School (Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional), the teachers that are needed of course those who can actively teach using English as their language to deliver the materials. The needed of teachers here can be solved by hiring native English speaking teacher or nonnative English speaking teacher. There are strengths and weaknesses in hiring NSET orNNSET to teach Indonesian school.
Mihyon Jeon and Jiyoon Lee (2006) in their journal “Hiring native-speaking English teachers in East Asian countries” stated that hiring native speaking English teachers (NSETs) is one of the most efficient ways to improve local student English proficiency. In plenary session 2 of the 5th international seminar that is held in balairung utama UKSW Monday, 21 Nov 2011 - 13.00-14.00, George Braine also said that native speaking teacher are “superior” to nonnative speaking teachers. I do agree with the statement that the ideal teacher of English is a native speaker. Native speaker of course has the ability in English better than nonnative speaker, so that they would teach English with the perfect knowledge than the nonnative speaking teacher. Yet, when they have to teach local student that learn English as their foreign language, I think we can’t say that the superiority of native speaker teacher is more suitable to teach the local students. They can’t be better than nonnative teacher because they don’t know the culture of local students. They also hindered by the communication in delivering their material.

THIS SEMESTER FINALLY ENDS

This semester is finally over. Honestly, from all courses I have taken this semester, the one that needed most of my attention and gave me very much development this semester is academic writing. I spent most of my time doing many kind of academic writing assignment this semester. This course also gives me very much knowledge that I didn’t understood before. I could also differently understand what is writing before and after this course. Before this course, I only wrote everything I want to and I wrote without any aim, I mean I just wrote simple thing that can be said “unimportant” for other people. But, after I joined this class, my ability and knowledge in writing developed very significantly and I became a writer that have a purpose to make my writing useful for other people. , I get very much knowledge. It makes me understand how to write an academic journal. I came to this class with nothing and now I get something from this class.
Throughout this class, I can learn about myself as a writer and as an English learner. I learn a lot as a writer, I got everything that I have never known before such as making construct, citation, quotation and subheading. I learn a lot as writer here, before I took this class, I never thought that become a writer needs very much efforts and sacrifices to make a good writing. From this moment I respect writers more than before because they are very brilliant and hard workers. I realize that being a writer is not easy. From my LLH I also learn myself as an English learner. I learn that learning foreign language is not an easy thing. I need a process in learning until I can reach my dream mastering English. And now I am still in that process of learning.
In this class I feel that I have my weakest point and strongest point as a writer. In my opinion, my weakest point in writing is getting idea. I always confused when I want to decide what is going to be written on my notebook. I spent very long time to get the idea which is appropriate and easy to be developed. One more thing that I am very weak in, I am not good in searching for references. It is very hard for me to find a reference that is suitable for my topic. And the point which I am confident on is in my creativity to arrange words by words to make my writing more interesting. Another strongest point in my writing is the grammar. Although I am not a master of grammar yet, I am confident with my grammar because I think my writing are lack of wrong grammar. Aspects of the course that help me a lot in this course are the explanation from my teacher. it is the main help in the process of writing my draft.
My writing process was not smooth at all, I have to revise and sometimes change a big part of my draft many times. My journey in this class was begun when I was commanded to make my language learning history from I was a child. I had to provide some topics of inquiry. That’s the first think that makes me got headache. Then my LLH had to be included in the draft which must be suitable with the construct and developed it into 8 pages, this part was the most difficult thing to do. I didn’t know that I had to develop my LLH into 8 pages draft. My LLH was not prepared to be developed, I made it like a past narrative which is not too academic. So I got very much difficult to do it and changed my LLH almost half of it.
For me, my development process as a writer in this course is almost the same with the metamorphosis process of a butterfly. When it hatches from its egg, there will be an ugly caterpillar which is not good to see. It represents my writing before I took academic writing class. My writing was very ugly and not good to see. After several months the caterpillar becomes a cocoon due to the process of becoming a butterfly. It describes my process of learning how to write an academic writing in one semester to be a good writer. When the right time comes, a cocoon becomes a beautiful butterfly and it flies freely to the sun. if I could pass my academic writing class nicely, I can be a good writer and reach my success. I guess that’s all, I give special thanks to Mrs. Nugrahaeny T. Zacharias for her  helps and guidance during my academic writing class. Happy holiday! J
